How We Work

An integrated, customized approach to marketing research

Tragon is not a cookie cutter marketing research company. We meet each product development and marketing challenge with a unique solution that combines our expertise
in consumer behavior, sensory science, product marketing and statistics with an array of integrated marketing research tools.

Our staff of technologists, scientists and marketers is involved in every aspect of a solution. Working with clients and consumers, we develop an evaluation strategy to provide insight into the reasons behind a challenge. We then implement the strategy through a variety of methods, which can include focus groups, one-on-one interviews and product testing. We have testing facilities in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Chicago area. If a study is required outside those areas, we're not content to field by remote control.

We regularly screen sites to ensure the optimum environment. We then accompany products to the sites, sharing our fielding techniques with local facility staff. Our goal is to provide a neutral framework for fielding that helps facility staff achieve answers that best reflect local consumer preference.

Research results are sent to our headquarters in the San Francisco Bay Area (Redwood City). We then utilize our expertise and advanced tools such as the interactive Tragon QDA® software and Digitizer Data Entry System (DDES) to tabulate and to analyze the data and provide comprehensive, targeted recommendations to help clients meet their product development and marketing challenges.

Over the years, we have expanded our fielding expertise into the international market, working with local and multinational clients. In fact, today, more than 30% of consumer and product testing are conducted globally, including in China, Japan and Europe.
